About
Me

I am a Barbadian born ceramic artist, now back in my birthplace after a decade of running my pottery business, Motions of Clay, in London.
My journey with clay began in my parents’ pottery studio, where I spent countless hours immersed in the craft. By the age of 15, I was deeply involved in production at my father’s workshop, shaping the foundation of my ceramics practice.
In 2008 - 2010 I studied art and design, completing a Foundation Diploma at Croydon College before pursuing a BA (Hons) in Product Design from Ravensbourne Design College.
In January 2020, I participated in Channel 4’s The Great Pottery Throw Down, an intense and transformative experience that pushed my creative limits. I met incredible people and enjoyed my time on the show..
As an artist, I create both functional and decorative ceramics, experimenting with glazes and creating formulas have been an interest of mine. Often colours from Barbados’ landscape and glowing shorelines find their way into my palette.
For years, I balanced my studio practice with teaching, tutoring at Morley North Kensington College and running workshops at my London studio. Now, I have returned to Barbados to work alongside my father at Hamilton’s Pottery, continuing to refine my craft.
If you have any inquiries or are interested in bespoke orders, feel free to get in touch. I look forward to creating something special with you.
